English Language Requirement
English proficiency is mandatory for students seeking admissions for undergraduate and postgraduate programs to universities abroad. Students are required to take a test recognized by the universities to accept them for a particular program. Language requirements vary based on the program and also from country to county. The most accepted tests across the universities and countries are IELTS (International English Language Testing System), TOEFL, and PTE. IELTS and Toefl are accepted worldwide. These tests assess a student's reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. Each band has a maximum score and students are required to have a minimum score for each of the bands based on the university and immigration requirements. For IELTS, the score range is between 0-9, Toefl is between 0-120 and each section has a score range of 0-30
and PTE is between 10-90.

Academic Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for an undergraduate program in a foreign university, students from India need to get a pass mark in 12th. However, in most of the universities abroad, a minimum of 50% is required to get admission for undergraduate programs and 60% in graduation for postgraduate studies.
Intakes
Most of the universities abroad have two intakes, Fall and Spring. The fall semester starts in September, and the Spring semester in January. However, few universities have other intakes in May, June, July, and August for a few courses. Unlike the Indian education system in which the new academic year starts once a year, most of the universities abroad have several intakes in a year. For students in India, seeking admission for the fall intake is ideal as they will finish their exam by May/June. However, there might be a delay in receiving their transcripts and other academic documents from the university. In such cases, admission is open in spring that starts in January.
